The trimmer is compatible with DeWALT 18v 20v Max (including 20-60v for Flexvolt batteries), allowing you to plug in your own batteries and get the job done quickly and easily. The low voltage protection is a primary concern, as the machine will automatically shut down to prevent overload damage if the battery voltage falls below 15.5 volts.
